Soil Salinity and Fertility Field Day
Join Holbrook Landcare Network, Dr Rebecca Haling (CSIRO) and Allan Nicholson (NSW DCCEEW) for a look at two demonstration sites on a Wantagong farm
You will:
- View 2 demonstration sites – a soil nutrient demonstration site in an improved pasture paddock, and a salt site planted to salt tolerant pasture species
- Learn about the balance of nutrients required to support productive pastures: phosphorus, sulphur, potassium and boron
- Discover the processes leading to salinisation, the impact on land and waterways, and land management practices to reduce the impacts
- Gain insight into multiple ways to improve productivity in saline and waterlogged soils
- Learn how to access free soil testing opportunities!
