Talkin Tough in Holbrook with Legless and Blind – Women’s Event
Did you know that 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health challenge every year? Despite this, many still struggle with the stigma surrounding mental health.
Mike Rolls and Ben Pettingill, also known as “Legless & Blind,” are on a mission to change that. They’re redefining what it means to be tough, encouraging open conversations, and building more supportive communities.
Through their “Talkin’ Tough” sessions and podcast, Mike and Ben share their own powerful stories of overcoming adversity. Mike lost his legs to meningococcal septicemia, and Ben lost most of his eyesight due to a rare genetic condition. Their experiences have taught them the importance of a positive mindset, prioritizing mental health, and building a strong support network.
These sessions are designed to cut through the noise and connect with audiences in a practical and relatable way. They’re not just about sharing stories; they’re about instilling a new understanding of what it means to be tough – and that means talking about our challenges.
Let’s support Mike and Ben in their mission to reduce stigma and improve mental health in our communities.
There are two ‘Talkin Tough’ events booked for Holbrook. The Women’s night will be held on 27th August & the Men’s night will be held on the 28th August.
