Dual Purpose Cropping & Soil Acidity Workshop
Dual-purpose crops have transformed mixed farming systems in southern Australia. The period during winter used to be a period of feed deficit whereas now it can be a period of livestock production. Discussion will include optimising dual-purpose crop agronomy, livestock health management and opportunities to boost your livestock enterprise through intensifying the use of dual-purpose crops.
Topics for discussion
- Getting the most out of dual-purpose cropping. Increasing livestock production through intensification of the dual-purpose cropping system.
- Different approaches for effective acid soil management in crop and pasture systems
- Update on the local acid soil trial site
