What is the Upper Billabong Low Carbon Landscapes project?

  • Benchmark the current natural capital on your property with a natural capital assessment
  • Understand how planned changes could create business opportunities
  • Explore pathways into biodiversity and carbon markets

How can I participate in the project?

  • Register for a natural capital assessment which benchmarks your current natural capital
  • Find your property on the prioritization map to identify priority areas for your own plans for revegetation/regeneration and biodiversity/carbon market opportunities

View Map Here

How to interpret the map

  • The framework has nine classes to rank areas based on commercial attractiveness and environmental co-benefits:
    • Commercial attractiveness is based on environmental planting (EP) project carbon sequestration potential and demand for biodiversity credits in the area
    • Environmental co-benefits (ecological benefits) are based on proximity to wetland and streams and potential for landscape restoration
  • The first letter represents commercial attractiveness, and the second letter represents environmental co-benefit potential
