We are pleased to announce a new project this year – Low Carbon Landscapes grants support diverse approaches to investing in carbon abatement across agriculture and the land sector. Funded by the NSW Government under the Primary Industries Productivity and Abatement program, these projects will demonstrate financially viable models for delivering carbon abatement and a range of co-benefits including biodiversity, climate resilience and productivity gains.
The HLN project is helping farmers access natural capital profiling, and carbon and biodiversity project planning that includes business modelling and a realistic look at the opportunities through environmental markets mechanisms.
Have you got some big fencing changes in mind? A substantial pasture renovation program? Some new tree lanes and revegetation areas? Register for a Natural Capital Profile to benchmark where you are at for carbon and biodiversity, and how those changes might also be business and carbon and biodiversity market opportunities. No obligation – Low Carbon Landscapes is just supporting farmers to look at the options and explore how you might make it work in the business.
With the momentum increasing, Holbrook Landcare is keen to then explore the ways we can promote participation in carbon markets and especially opportunities for insetting and sustainability credentialling to unlock the value for farmers and for our environment in this region.

This project is supported by the NSW Government through a Low Carbon Landscapes grant, delivered under the Primary Industries Productivity and Abatement Program within the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.
