Project Officer – NRM and Sustainable Agriculture

We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate person to join a skilled and dynamic team working to make positive changes to landscapes and communities in the Eastern Murray regions of NSW. 

Holbrook Landcare Network is a leading Landcare and farming system group that delivers outcomes for farmers. 

The successful candidate will work as part of a team delivering across a wide portfolio of natural resource management and sustainable agriculture related projects.  We are looking for someone who has strong communication and project management skills, is willing to work both indoors and outdoors undertaking a range of administrative and technical duties.  The position is full-time and based in the Holbrook office, 30 minutes commute from Albury, 1 hour from Wagga Wagga.

Local Landcare Coordinator

Holbrook Landcare Network are seeking a motivated and committed person to undertake a part time (from 0.5EFT) Local Landcare Coordinator role based in Holbrook. Potential increase in workload up to full-time available for preferred candidates.

The Local Landcare Coordinator will work closely with local farming systems, environmental and peri-urban Groups in the South West Slopes and Upper Murray areas to:

  • improve their capacity to support and increase community engagement
  • extend their coverage to provide support to more community groups and landholders
  • undertake planning, develop partnerships and secure resourcing through project grants and other sources
  • monitor evaluate and report on projects and activities
  • improve their long term financial stability and viability by sourcing external funds
  • effectively participate in natural resource management activities that address critical agricultural sustainability and environmental issues
  • link to programs of Local Land Services and other Government agencies and organisations to develop on-ground natural resource management projects, in line with regional and state strategies
