DESCRIPTION:NSW Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development in conjunction with Meat and Livestock Australia and Holbrook Landcare are hosting a tour of 2 trial sites: Morven and Mangoplah. This is an opportunity for locals to come have a look at one or both of these sites. Whether you’re seeing the sites for the first time or checking in on their progress – everyone is welcome to come along and stay for as long as they like.\nAiming to help graziers better understand latest best practices for addressing soil acidity, effective lime application methods, and the selection and management of productive pasture mixes.\nTopics for discussion:\n\nRevised practices for managing acid soils: sampling intervals and lime application methods\nLime impacts on pasture mixes: yield and feed quality, companion species dynamics, weed burdens, and mineral concentrations.\nSerradellas – performance in Southern NSW.\nHolbrook Landcare Network’s acid soil program.\n\nLunch provided.
