The NSW DPI are currently in the process of developing a “fodder budgeting/grazing management app” to guide grazing management decisions for producers in southern Australia. The app aims to improve efficiency of animal production under climate uncertainty through identifying real-time and best-bet tactical options in grazing management.
The app has potential to improve the accuracy of grazing management decisions in both sheep and cattle systems and significantly reduce risk and enhance the profitability of producers.
DPI are currently calling for producers to complete a short survey to capture produce data for the apps design. There is also an opportunity for landholders to register to be included in testing the product during the development phase.
If you are interested in participating, complete the survey here: https://gmapp.typeform.com/to/LQrG9q or if you would like more information contact Warwick Badgery at NSW DPI on (02) 6391 3841 or visit the website here http://www.grazingapp.com.au/
