Subsoil Acidity Trials – do you have a suitable trial site?

Holbrook Landcare has been able to borrow the trailer-mounted soil corer from Murray LLS in order to take samples for our Subsoil Acidity trials. Dale, Raylene and Ashley are now fully trained in the use of the corer, and will begin sampling on our first site at Teripta before the next cropping season. Thanks to Andrew Landale for providing this site. We are still looking for another site for our second trial which will begin in 2017. The subsoil (10-20 cm layer) needs to have a pH less than 4.5 and the site needs to be in a cropping rotation for the 3 years of the trial (2017-2019). If you would like to help, please speak to Raylene in the office (6036 3181). We can do a soil test if you are not sure of the pH. This project is funded by GRDC through the Graham Centre at Wagga.
